Sundaes With Crystal Event Tomorrow!

Hey Lifted! Fam -

Here with an update from Joyya as well as a reminder that we have a fun event coming up tomorrow! We will be meeting up at Lake B at 4:30 PM for our Sundaes With Crystal event where we will have delicious ice cream sundaes, hold a Q&A with Crystal about her experience rehearsing for The Color Purple, and generally hanging out and having a good time.

Parents: You are welcome to either drop your child off or stay and enjoy some ice cream with us!

Hi family,

Once again our amazing kids never cease to amaze me. Within the first hour I was shedding tears of pure joy. We had a phenomenal time together during our last workshop and were able to learn 2 new songs! As we continue into the month, our focus point will be repetition of practicing “Psalm 23” & “My Life Is In Your Hands”. These two, along with “He’ll Make It Alright”, will be our 3 performance pieces for our Juneteenth celebration at Lake B - with more information to come. Please make sure we are taking multiple opportunities: in the car, during snack time or simply a dedicated time for practice, to lock these songs in well. Also, please remind our beautiful babies - big and small, that our time together is precious and it’s important that we focus in on singing and doing less chatting with our peers. I know our kiddos miss one another since the last time we were together. I will make sure to give the space and freedom to connect and socialize during our food break.

Last, but most importantly, I will make sure I have TREATS at the end! They definitely deserve it and the kids made it clear that this is an expectation I need to fulfill haha I love it! And I love being able to take part in such an amazing group as Lifted.
