Picnic This Saturday + Location Change for Juneteenth Gathering

Brianna here with a reminder that we are getting together this coming Saturday for a Community Picnic, and we hope you can join us!

Here is a bit more information on the event from Sharon …

This coming Saturday will be our community picnic for the children and families. It’ll be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Lake Burien Memorial Park (right by Lake B). It’s a BYOP, Bring Your Own Picnic! There will be activities set up, a playground accessible, and organized games. Please make sure to bring your own chairs, blankets, and sun shades as there isn’t much shade at the park.

As we haven’t had times to meet regularly the last few weeks, we are hoping families will come to connect and get to know one another better! We look forward to seeing you there!

IMPORTANT NOTE - This is not a drop off event, but an all-family attendance event.

Venue Change for Juneteenth Gathering

The other important update is that, due to activities happening at Lake B on Juneteenth, we are moving our Juneteenth End of Year Celebration & Mini Performance to Pentecostal Covenant Church in Rainier Valley. They have graciously agreed to host us as we gather to celebrate freedom and the official end of the 2024-2025 Lifted! season.

We will be sending another email the week prior to the event outlining all the details, but please mark your calendar that the call time for the kids will be 12:00 PM in their Lifted! t-shirts. We will be performing three songs at 12:45 PM and then enjoying some lunch and fellowship as a community.
