Hey Lifted! Fam - This Thursday is setting up to be a fantastic day, as we get to celebrate the importance of black history in America as well as wrapping up our FOURTH successful season of Lifted! We are keeping the Juneteenth gathering very low key and easy so that we can focus on enjoying each other’s company, catching up with Crystal, and sitting in the importance of the day. The key details are listed here, but please make sure to read the ‘From Joyya’ section below as well. Date & Time: Thursday, June 19th - 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Location: Pentecostal Covenant Church - 10033 55th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98178 Lunch: Ezell's Famous Chicken - Chicken Tenders, Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Rolls, Salad, Drinks. (Gluten free option will be available) Performed Music: ‘Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone)’, ‘My Life is in Your Hands’, ‘Revelation 19:1’ - (kids can join in on whatever songs they are familiar with) Activities: Face Painting, Photo Signing, Time w/ Friends What To Wear: Whatever you are most comfortable in! From Joyya … Hello Family, We had a great time together at the workshop on Saturday! Your smiling faces and infectious joy radiated from you and brightened up my day. It has been an absolute pleasure to lead you the last two months and meet more of our amazing parents. It’s truly a blessing to be a part of Lifted and I’m excited we are celebrating US to close out the year. Let’s party! As we gather to celebrate what Lifted has accomplished this year, we are also gather to celebrate black history, culture, resilience and the pure magic of blacks in America. As an encouragement to our black community and to all who will listen, we have prepared 2 songs of hope to remind you of who has sustained us and who continues to keep us when it feels all hope is lost: “Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone)” and “My Life is in Your Hands”. We will end out the performance with singing Revelation 19:1 as one big family. The kids sound amazing on these songs and are locking in the words well. All they need now is to remember to carry joy so they can share it with the world as they always do so well. We will have a blast all together on Thursday. Keeping it simple and fun for all! Wear what makes you feel your best! Our stoles will be available and ready to wear during the performance.
