It’s workshop weekend! What a gift it is to have the freedom to gather to lift voices to in a joyful act of resistance in these tense times. I am really looking forward to seeing your faces on Saturday as Joyya leads us in preparation for our Juneteenth celebration next week. Please do your best to attend the workshop so that you are comfortable with the new songs for the mini-concert.

About our Juneteenth celebration … Crystal made a quick video which we posted over on WhatsApp yesterday along with a poll asking you to let us know whether your family will be able to join us at Pentecostal Covenant Church on Juneteenth. We want to get a good idea of how many people are able to attend in case we need to make adjustments to the timing of the event. As it stands, it looks like we have a lot of families who are able to come in the afternoon, which is great, but please take a minute to take the WhatsApp poll so we can make final preparations for the event.

Caregiver Action Items:

• Watch Crystal’s video over on WhatsApp and take the poll letting us know whether you are able to join us for the Juneteenth Celebration at Pentecostal Covenant Church. If you are not on WhatsApp, please text Brianna at (206) 390-2313 letting us know whether or not you will be attending.

  
  

• Encourage your kids to listen to the Spotify list and get some song practice in!

We will be sending another email next week outlining all the details for the get together on Juneteenth. As it stands we will be keeping the 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM timeline, but we will let you know ASAP if we need to make a change to that. Stay tuned!
