As we close out the summer of 2025, I want to take a moment to acknowledge all the amazing things that our Lifted! youth and alumni have been up to over the last few months! I’ve been so happy to see images and videos of our young people sharing their gifts so courageously with community!

From Northwest Tap Connection’s “One Nation Under A Groove” showcase to The Dolls drill team at local parades, Ailey Camp, Blues Camp and Seattle’s Teen Summer Musical, WE HAVE BEEN BUSY! Congrats to each of you for making incredible investments in your talents and for a job well done! I could not be more proud! As a reminder, our season begins with Orientation on September 13th at 11 AM. Lunch will be provided so please RSVP here. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

New Adventures!

Hi Lifted Family!

This is Aaliyah. I hope you've had a great summer! I love hearing about all the creative things the choristers have been up to. As we get ready for the new season, I have some bittersweet news to share. I will be stepping away from Lifted! starting this fall. As a lot of you know I am in college and have been at Seattle Central. What you may not know is that I am going to study abroad this fall in Barcelona, Spain. I will be leaving at the end of September and will be continuing my study of psychology as well as learning some Spanish! I am incredibly excited to start this new chapter of my life, but I am going to miss this choir so much. 

Lifted! has been such a big part of my life these last two years, and I am extremely grateful for each and every one of you. Being in Lifted has helped me gain confidence in my voice and leadership. Thank you all for your support and care. This is truly a special community and I credit it with so much I've been able to accomplish. I promise I'll keep in touch. I can't wait to be in the audience for one of the upcoming performances!

2025-2026 Season Registration is LIVE!

Reminder: New Rehearsal Schedule

As our choir grows, we are seeing a need to make slight changes to our rehearsal schedule to allow for more productive practices and better connection for our families. With these goals in mind, we will be splitting Wednesday rehearsals into two groups:

• Lifted! Youth (Ages 5 - 12) 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM on Wednesdays

• Lifted! Youth (Ages 12 - 18) 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesdays

In between these two rehearsals (from 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM), we will have a time for our community to gather over conversation, play in the courtyard, or enjoy a meal together. We are hoping that this will provide the time and space to build deeper connection among our families.

(For those families with children spanning both age ranges, exceptions will be made on a case by case basis to accommodate the simplification of your family calendar.)
